Township of Langley Green Building Renovation Rebates

As a part of the Township of Langley’s Green Building Rebate Program, you can receive rebates for improving the energy efficiency of your home and completing the required pre- and post-upgrade home energy evaluations.  The program also offers rebates for completing a post-upgrade EnerGuide home evaluation.

  • $15 per every 1 GJ/year reduction, as a result of upgrades completed between your pre- and post-upgrade EnerGuide home evaluations.

  • for completing a pre- and post-upgrade EnerGuide home evaluation.

Eligibility requirements

  • You must own a single family dwelling in the Township of Langley.
  • You must obtain a building permit from the Township of Langley for your renovation project.
  • You must complete both a pre- and post-upgrade EnerGuide home evaluation to access home improvement rebates.
  • Home improvements must achieve an annual energy consumption reduction of at least 10 GJ.

Deadlines

Within 90 days of final building inspection, submit a copy of the program referral form, energy advisor invoice, and EnerGuide documentation to the Township of Langley.

How to apply

  1. Submit a building permit application to the Township of Langley.
  2. Obtain a Green Building Rebate Program referral form.
  3. Schedule a pre-upgrade EnerGuide home evaluation with a program-qualified energy advisor.
  4. Complete your home energy improvements.
  5. If applying for home improvement rebates, schedule a post-upgrade EnerGuide home evaluation with your energy advisor.
  6. Receive an EnerGuide label and clearly display it on the home’s electrical panel door, or furnace.
  7. Within 90 days of final building inspection, submit a copy of the program referral form, energy advisor invoice, and EnerGuide documentation to the Township of Langley.
