Can apartments, condos, and other multi-unit residential buildings participate?

You might be eligible for the Energy Savings Program Condo and Apartment Rebate.

Your unit must be an apartment or suite in a purpose-built rental, strata condominium, or equity co-op building.

It must be a year-round primary residence in British Columbia that is at least 12 months old, and one of the following types of residential buildings:

1. Apartment building up to 6 storeys, including market rental and strata condominium apartment buildings. Including residential apartment units in mixed-use buildings with one or more rental or strata condominium residential suites. Eligible apartment buildings must have:
   • shared common area lighting and heating;
   • shared hallways or elevator; and
   • any other defining factors based on size and accessibility.
2. Stacked townhome buildings.
3. Multiplex residential units that are individually metered and each have their own exterior entrance with six or more units.
